Terms of use

These are the terms for using Work&Sip. They are short because the site is simple: it is free, and most of what is on it is facts about public businesses. By using the site you agree to them.

Who we are

Work&Sip is run from Stockholm, Sweden. You can reach us at hello@workandsip.com.

What Work&Sip is

Work&Sip is a free directory of cafes that tells you how well each one works for getting work done. The answers come from votes by people who have been there and from sentences in public Google reviews, which are always labelled as coming from Google. We also read what cafes' own websites, articles and Reddit comments say about working there, and count it without quoting it. Work&Sip is not affiliated with any cafe listed, or with Google.

Your account

You do not need an account to read the site. To vote, write a note or report something, you sign in with a link we email you or with your Google account. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, so keep it safe. One account per person, and you must be at least 16. You are responsible for what is done with your account.

What you add

Only add what you know from your own visits. Do not post advertising, abuse, other people's personal details or anything that is not about working in that cafe. You keep the rights to what you write. By posting it you give us permission to show it on Work&Sip, count it into scores and keep doing so if you later delete your account, credited to a former member instead of your name. You can change your votes and edit or delete your notes at any time. We can hide or remove anything that breaks these rules.

Content from Google

Cafe pages show opening hours, ratings and quotes from Google reviews. That content belongs to Google and to the people who wrote it. It is shown under Google's terms and links back to its source. If you think a quote should not be there, use the report link on it, which goes to Google.

Using the site

Read it, share links to it and use it to plan your day. Do not scrape it, copy the database, put automated load on it or try to get around the sign-in or the rate limits.

What we don't promise

Everything on Work&Sip is what somebody found on a visit, and cafes change. We cannot promise that a listing is current, complete or correct, or that the site will always be available. It is provided as it is. Check with the cafe before you rely on a listing for anything that matters.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on what is on it. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.

If it's your cafe

Cafes are public businesses, so a cafe does not need to do anything to be listed, and being listed is not an endorsement. If a listing is wrong or you want it removed, email us and we will deal with it. A way to claim your own listing is coming.

Ending things

You can delete your account from your profile page at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes

We will update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top says when this version went live. If a change matters, we will say so on the site, and using the site after that means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are settled by the Swedish courts, unless consumer law where you live says otherwise.
